Utah Respects Romney's Choice

WAPO Can a GOPer Annoy Trump and Survive?

In this time of GOPers worshipping Trump like he is their God... :-(

It is good to see there are still some GOPers who remember the true God and the behaviors that are expected of by his / her followers. :-)

These comics were both so funny and true that I had to share both.

  1. Mormons will vote for Trump, but they won't respect him.

  2. If you read the article, apparently many did not.

    Including Romney... :-)

  3. Mitt was able to take that stand because he's not up for re-election until 2024 (and he'll be 76 then, so he'll have an easy off-ramp if it looks like that vote will be problematic).

  4. Why is it hard for you to like a guy who gives tons to charity and seems to do the right / moral thing most of the time?

It would be like me never complimenting Obama...

This only frustrates me because it is a symptom of our societal polarization problem.

Tribe Members shall only see the bad in Opposing Tribe Members...

No fraternizing, complimenting, respecting, liking allowed, etc... :-(

  5. Listen, I'm happy Romney voted the way he did. But, if he were on the ballot this November, he wouldn't have made that same vote. C'mon, let's not pretend that Mitt Romney has had a consistent stand on most issues. His Presidential campaigns were dogged by his flip-flops on numerous important issues.

  6. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as a I did with Obama when he did something good.

  7. "a I did with Obama when he did something good"

    That's a good one.

  8. Please tell me what I criticized Obama about?

I think you are confusing Jerry and me... :-)

Overall I liked Obama... Even if I disagreed with him sometimes.

  9. You used to constantly criticize the ACA, then claim you didn't know much about it when I would challenge you on details. No benefit of the doubt there.

  10. Yes ACA does have Pros and Cons...

I still believe that after my parent's taxes and the premiums for my self employed friends went up.

On the other hand pre-existing condition coverage and mandatory insurance were good. Though the penalty should have been much larger.

  11. One more good thing, capping old people rates at 3X younger people's rates. :-)

  12. I have always felt and this goes way back to his first campaign for the senate, that Mitt Romney would make an ideal secretary of health and human services in a Democratic administration. It's the job he was born for. It's the job where he could best serve the country.
