So do you think the Dems should force a govt shutdown? I think it is time to stand up to Trump and the GOP. Both options are bad, but I think shutting down the govt is the least bad alternative.

I am leaning towards no... It would make the DEMs look bad and will not stop Musk / Trump.
ReplyDeleteIf the DEMs had a leader that could actually communicate, it may go better. But they do not, so they will probably need to cave again. :-(

I am still not sure what was the right vote on the shutdown. I just want some effective dem leaders to emerge in opposing Trump and Musk. So far AOC and Bernie seem to be showing the most fight. I think dems should pick a new senate minority leader.

ReplyDeleteI don't think center left vs far left is important right now. What's needed is an effective communicator to help people see how Trump is destroying the country. I can believe he still has 47% approval rating.

ReplyDeleteI think you are underestimating how much frustration there is out there with the DEMs being unwilling to push back against Public Employee unions and government head count.
