Raising social involvement, self awareness and self improvement topics, because our communities are the sum of our personal beliefs, behaviors, action or inaction. Only "we" can improve our family, work place, school, city, country, etc.
Here is my deep analysis of the buffer strip issue. It sounds like a good idea to me. Some of Minnesota lakes and rivers are too polluted from farm run off (ie Minnesota River.) Besides that I believe various environmental organization were in favor of increasing buffer strips.
