Fact Checking the Debate

11 comments:

  1. I do have a bit of sympathy with the Republicans, forced as they now are, to fact check the details of the Miss Universe election of 1996.

  2. The good news is that the Republicans don't care what an entertainer said 20 years ago. Just as the Democrats did not care what Franken had said 20 years earlier.

  3. Except that Franken is a well-read, astute, hard-working, and rather non-funny Senator. Amy Klobuchar tells more jokes than Franken.

    Your false equivalence doesn't wash.

  4. I will say it again: Minnesota does not deserve to be represented by the two biggest jokes in the US Senate.

And the public doesn't deserve to be "fact checked" by people who are so willfully blind they have to create the "truth" inside their own warped imaginations.

  5. "Minnesota does not deserve to be represented by the two biggest jokes in the US Senate."

You are blinded by your own ideology and ignorance.
We have two of the smartest and hardest working Senators who have already accomplished impressive things for the American people in their short times in office.

  6. Yeah, right. Al Franken's deciding vote for Obamacare has done wondrous things for so many. Personally, he made my health care plan, that I liked and wanted to keep, simply disappear. Feel free to list any wondrous things they have done, beyond that.

Have you heard the calls to Fox News? Have you read the middle of the night Trump tweets? If Trump is elected, what happens when, if in the middle of an international crisis, Putin brings up a Miss Universe crisis? Is there any evidence at all that a distracted Donald Trump could ever get off that topic, to return to the crisis at hand? What happens if that famous 3 o'clock in the morning White House phone call everyone worries is about Miss USA gaining five pounds?

  8. What evidence? I seriously doubt that Putin is going to be calling in the middle of the night (other than the time difference), just to rile up the Donald. We have the mainstream media for that job, and they do it splendidly, during the daytime.

  9. Has any politician in American history ever been more vulnerable to manipulation than Donald Trump? Rush Limbaugh claims Donald was set up. Do we want a guy as president who can be so easily set up?

Only you can loose the chains of ideology that bind you.

  11. Ah, but I do not see chains of ideology. I see simple fact and clear reason leading directly to my conclusions. Until proven otherwise, of course.
