Raising social involvement, self awareness and self improvement topics, because our communities are the sum of our personal beliefs, behaviors, action or inaction. Only "we" can improve our family, work place, school, city, country, etc.
I think the dems will field more than 15 candidates. Right now I favor someone who seems more moderate or realistic about how far left we can go and how much $ we can spend. Maybe someone like Amy K.
I don't think the field is going to get too much bigger. Among major candidates, only Klobuchar, Biden, and Sanders are left to decide -- and I think it's distinctly possible that any of those three might choose not to run. The path for Klobuchar to win the nomination gets a whole lot harder if Biden gets in. Biden may not choose to run (and I hope he doesn't). I think Bernie will probably run, but there are too many progressive alternatives this time around for him to get to the nomination.
Ultimately, I don't think Bloomberg will run either -- he can be a lot more effective doing what he did in 2018 and backing Congressional candidates. His preferred candidate won in 21 of the 24 races he targeted, even in places like Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and Georgia.
If capitalism wants to continue to be our economic system of choice, it needs to get it's act together.

How far across the map did the 500 or so Republican candidates range in 2015-6?

Apparently there were 15.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the DEMs will field more for 2020...

Speaking of AKlo, the Strib has found a permit application with the Mpls Park Board that looks like it could be her announcement.
ReplyDeleteEven Fox News is becoming disillusioned with capitalism.
