I think polling is okay. The problem is that the electorate has just become far more difficult to poll. Hardly anyone these days answers pollsters. Polls today are mostly about models. How heavily should we press the thumb on the scale.

One concern people are talking about a lot these days is that because of Republican hostility to the media, fewer of them are responding to pollster. I do believe that polls generally underestimate Republican support generally, and that's another factor making that worse.
