Benefits of Being a Woman

Clear Advantages of Being a Woman

17 Advantages Women Have

More and Similar Advantages

And even more...

So Moose and I have been arguing about Women using the short tee in golf.

This got me thinking of why Liberals always focus on the downsides of being a woman?

  1. Because one cannot be a victim without oppressors, and disadvantages. Democrats want to "save" women by becoming their new, supposedly magnanimous overlords.

  2. I am not sure if it is even that intentional.

To me they just want equal financial outcomes for everyone no matter what other differences are in place.

  3. Once I asked an older male counselor...

"Since my wife chose to reduce her working hours and income to spend more time with the kids and support their / her needs and wants, can I just do that also and let the bills pile up?"

His answer went something to that "No, you are the primary bread winner so you really should not."

As noted in some of those examples: no one balks at a woman stopping or slowing their working to be with the kids. However if a man did folks will definitely look twice.

  4. Then after all these years of folks like me putting the income, company and experiences ahead of our families... They complain that women my age may make slightly less...

I think it is the old "I want my cake and to eat it to." :-)

  5. Along those lines... I have a woman co-worker who has ~4 younger children and therefore prefers to not make the international trips. Therefore I pick up her distant meetings whenever I can to help her out.

Should there be a financial impact for either of us?

  6. What you are talking about is that "blind equality" of which liberals are so blindingly fond. Everything equal, no matter what. Men and women different, in any way? Absolutely not! Reality is only what a liberal says it is; all else is just hate or oppression.

  7. You two should take your comedy routine on the road. Hilarious.

  8. Both been on the road already. Home now. Maybe you should explain the joke.

  9. On the other hand:
    Men Are Just Happier People!

What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park.

Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress - $5,000. Tux rental - $100.

People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks.

A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Two pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.

You can play with toys all your life. One wallet and one pair of shoes - one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

    No wonder men are happier!

  10. Jerry,
    Somewhat amusing...

    Moose,
To make sure I am interpreting your view correctly.

Are people of the same age due the same pay no matter:
    - what dues they have paid and sacrifices they have made before that point in time?
    - what their natural strengths and capabilities are?
    - if they want to do just some or all the duties of a position?
    - if they work late or run home for dinner with the kids?

    ReplyDelete
  11. This is not the conversation we were having.

    Moose

    ReplyDelete
  12. No. If you would like to continue talking about the U.S. Women's soccer team pay or what to call the forward tees in golf, I will oblige.

    Moose

    ReplyDelete
  13. You want less capable athletes to get paid an equal amount just because they won in a less competitive competition...

    This is all related...

Or do you think Minor League baseball players should earn the same as Major League players just because they both work hard?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Or do you think the Women's Team could beat the Men's Team.

That would be an interesting match. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Laurie,
Did you actually read that piece?

I think I linked to it previously...

The summary is that the women make 11% less than the men and the world soccer federations pay men much better. They had no real good answer regarding US men vs women revenues.

Unless you saw something I missed.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well. This IS America. Rewarding the mediocre because they can get more attention is what we do.

    Moose

    ReplyDelete
  17. So you think folks like Tom Brady are mediocre?

    ReplyDelete
  18. We’re talking about soccer. Try to keep up.

    Moose

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't know much about soccer stars.

    Are these folks mediocre?

I suppose I could ask my Brazilian co-worker. He seems obsessed with the sport. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  20. USMNT = mediocre
USWNT = best in the world

    That is the topic.

    Moose

    ReplyDelete
  21. Again...

Do best in the World Little League Players deserve the same income as best in the world Major Leaguers?

You are comparing apples and oranges.

    ReplyDelete
  22. USWNT are big fish in a smaller pond.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Let's compare salaries in the American pro football leagues. The men draw huge salaries, and the women's league doesn't exist. Obviously that's totally unfair, right?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think that is what Moose is saying.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Though I do acknowledge that Women's Soccer did create revenues near the Men's, I am just not sure if it was 89% of the Men's.

And I agree that the marketing arm of US soccer needs to do a better job with their winning team. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  26. There's just a reality at work, and all the "fairness" arguments simply fail to recognize reality. "I reject your reality, and substitute my own" seems to be the mantra. In the US, soccer isn't that popular, but women's soccer is somewhat unique and they've done very well; Americans love a winner. When they play world competition (only thing the /US/ team can do) I'm sure US people watch and contribute revenue, moreso maybe than the men. But the rest of the world cares about MEN's Soccer, and they're rabid about it, so the women don't get as much revenue from spectators, TV rights, etc. Numbers can show about anything, but the reality suggests these women are getting about all the traffic will bear.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So, do you disagree with ALL reality, or only some of it? :-) There are two possible descriptions of that condition. One is a "psychotic" and the other is "a liberal."

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think both the Far Left and Far Right folks fit that description.

I mean the Far Right folks believe Trump's fantasies day after day...

    ReplyDelete
  29. And who are you to decide what "fantasy" is or is not? Trump is a reality. Remember where your seat in the theater is. Even sitting in the middle does not make you a realist.

    ReplyDelete
  30. No.

    But my ability to:
    - Listen to his words
    - Review and analyze their sources

    Certainly does...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Please feel free to pick one of their "pants on fire" Trump statements and we can fact check it as a new post. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am very interested to see how you rationalize his fib or exaggeration into a statement of truth.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can't rationalize a fib or exaggeration because I can't find one. Those are your characterizations. I'm curious as to how you rationalize such harsh judgments, and to what purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  34. So you are saying that Trump's Father was Born in Germany?

That California admitted to millions of illegal votes

That one needs and photo ID to buy cereal

The purpose is pretty simple. Identify who is working to mislead and manipulate American Voters.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ah yes. And your purpose is purely altruistic, objective and impartial. :-/
Which of the 57 US States did you find that Russian collusion in?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Mueller clearly determined that Trump's personnel did meet with Russian operatives, yet the discussions and actions did not reach the level of the criminal conspiracy.

What is inaccurate in that reporting?

I mean we really did not know the extent of the interactions until the investigation was completed.

Please remember that Trump and crew initially said that there were no meeting or communications. Which we found out was a lie.

Please remember that I voted for Trump.
I really do not have an agenda.
I just wish he would stop lying.

    ReplyDelete
  37. These are classic given what we have learned...

    "Jan. 16, 2017

Trump told reporters, “I have nothing to do with Russia. To the best of my knowledge, no person that I deal with does.”

    Feb. 7, 2017

President Trump tweets: "I don't know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy — yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem.""

    ReplyDelete
  38. "He didn't say that.
And if he did, he didn't mean that.
And if he did, you didn't understand it.
And if you did, it's not a big deal.
And if it is, others have said worse."

    -Every Trump supporter

One of your best comments !!! :-)

    Well done !!!
