USA Today Poll: Only 4 in 10 Republicans think Trump mentioned Biden on Ukraine call even though he acknowledged doing so

Believe it... Trump said... "I would like you to do us a favor though ..." It is in the document the White House released. Now the question is do you support the Rule of Law or Trump?

The President: The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me.What are these 40% of Republicans thinking, or has Trump lobotomized them somehow? :-)

Still planning on voting for Trump?
Who are you going to give me as an option?
I will vote for the lesser of the 2 evils...
Now Trump's behaviors do not surprise me as much as those of the citizens who seem to blindly support and believe him without apparently thinking.
The idea that 40% of Republicans can say that "they don't think Trump even mentioned Biden on the phone call" is just scary.
Now what percent of them will see this valid legal proceeding as a coup?
How many may Trump be able to incite to violence with talk of Civil War?
Or executing spies?
You are probably correct that I will not be able to vote for him again...
Being selfish, lying, bragging, etc is one thing...
But assaulting the rule of law and seeing himself as above it is much worse.
I hope these 2 can give some real smoking gun evidence that even the Republicans can not deny.
Getting Trump out of office would be the best thing that could happen to the Republican party from my perspective.
FOX News Pompeo admits he was on the call
Do you agree with today's Star Tribune editorial or with Mayor Frey. As the Mayor implied, should there be a way to keep the president out of the city due to the hate and devisiveness that he brings. The editorial says that Mpls leaders botched their response. I don't know anymore, honestly. Maybe he should have picked a different city in Minnesota to hold his rally.

No, Trump has the right to free speech and the freedom of association like the rest of us. I am annoyed when any President comes to visit us though because of traffic jams they cause. Maybe St Cloud would be better. :-)
Please remember that though I am frustrated that Trump did not grow into the Presidency. (ie decorum, honesty, law abiding, seek to serve, seek to unite, humility, etc) I accept that apparently he was an old dog who could not learn new tricks.
He is an excellent example of Peter Principle in Action
What frustrates me much more is that so many Republicans want to support him so much that they can deny simple facts, and that they want to apparently waive the rule of law for him. :-(
These are behavers I expect from cult members, not responsible American citizens.
Of course, Tribe Liberal is about as irrational on the other side... It is sad that the so many people fled to the Far Left and Far Right...

“Tribe Liberal is about as irrational on the other side.”
False. We are currently the only political group dealing in facts.
Moose
Moose,
The DEMs have been insisting that Trump be Impeached for 2+ years with no evidence... I would not call that honoring the rule of law or rational.
All,
Summary Update from NYT
In regard to the police article, I heard Lt Bob Kroll speak at an event in September and he said that he thinks Police Chief Arradondo is the best Police Chief Mpls has ever had. But apparently they don’t agree on everything.

Or the Mayor forced the issue...
it is my understanding that the Mueller report provided sufficient evidence for impeachment it is just difficult to get the public to understand the evidence and support impeachment.
"The redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report released on Thursday runs 448 pages. But its most important implication can be summarized in a single sentence: There is sufficient evidence that President Donald Trump obstructed justice to merit impeachment hearings."

Laurie,
What did I tell you about putting too much stock in those Left Leaning Publications? :-)
The Atlantic Mueller Impeachment Case
Here is the Mueller Report
I ran word find for impeach and it only shows twice. And they are both definitions in the foot notes.
The point of my link is that believing for the past year or two that Trump deserves to be impeached is a very reasonable mainstream opinion. My center-left news sources are very reliable for accurately presenting facts and in are no way comparable to far right news.
That is what my parents would say about Fox News...
Not even Pelosi was willing to hang her hat on that weak case.
The article may have facts, but the opinions are still opinions.
Fox news compared to the Atlantic as equally reliable news sources- you can't be serious.
My point is that Trump should be impeached has been a reasonable fact-based opinion for a long time.
The Mueller report has plenty of evidence.

You are correct Mother Jones is more like FOX... :-)
CBS Obstruction ?
Mother Jones On Ukraine
Now you did read the CBS Title?
"10 times Trump may have obstructed justice, according to Mueller"
As for the MJ piece, I whole heartedly agree with this...
"There is nuance to this, and not everyone is on the same page: Fox News isn’t a total ideological monolith, with hosts disagreeing and some reporting more responsibly than others."
FOX does have some really good "news professionals". The problems is that they seem to have more "Far Right Opinion" folks who are allowed to say and make up almost anything they want.
It has to be a challenging place to work if these folks are in the same office building.
BI FOX Split Personality
"Bret Baier, one of Smith's daytime colleagues and host of Fox News' "Special Report," responded by emphasizing the difference between the network's objective reporting during the day, and its opinion-focused commentary during the evening.
"Fox has not changed," Baier said during his show on August 19. "We have a news side and an opinion side. Opinion folks express their opinions. We do polls. Our latest poll had the Democratic candidates head to head, several of them ahead of President Trump."
""A lot of our audience is a right-wing audience," Smith said in 2017. "They're a conservative audience. They're a traditional audience. But it's not as if they don't understand that sometimes the facts aren't on your side."
"There's an enormous audience out there that won't believe that," Smith added. "Those in the far right and far left, because – so often, the facts fly in the face of your own worldview. Sometimes your side is wrong. And when they are, I'm here to give the facts. And I don't really care what you think.""
