Russia Meddling 2020

Trump dismisses intelligence official’s assessment of Russian preference for him as Democratic ‘hoax’  (WAPO)

Lawmakers Are Warned That Russia Is Meddling to Re-elect Trump (NYT)

Yes, it seems that Trump is still in denial that Putin helped him get the job in 2016 and that he still likes Trump as President for 2020.  Which has prevented him from taking Russia's efforts seriously and working to stop them.  I mean he has been so busy chasing the silly Ukraine conspiracy to assuage his ego.

Apparently Joe Maguire was the 3rd Director of National Intelligence under Trump.  Ironically Dan Coats quit because Trump kept ignoring his warnings about Russian interference also.  What kind of President ignores / fires the country's intelligence personnel because he does not like what they report?

Is it really such a bad thing that Trump is supported by Russia? Maybe the reasons they support our president are also reasons we should vote for him.

I have been fighting the flu for the last 2+ days and in one of more "floaty" moments I wondered if Putin supports GOPers since they seem determined to bankrupt the USA? (ie big deficits big debts)

On the humorous side. "Parasite" Studio Replies to Trump

"President Trump had sharp words for Hollywood during his Colorado rally Thursday night, taking aim at the "Parasite" Oscar victory and Brad Pitt's critical Oscar speech.

Neon, the movie studio behind the South Korean hit "Parasite," fired right back, suggesting the president's criticism of the foreign language film stemmed from trouble with the subtitles.

"Understandable, he can't read," Neon tweeted from its official account."

I am still amazed that Trump Supporters seem okay with Trump down playing the Russia interference risk.

Definitely a sad state of affairs when US citizens seems okay with Russia personnel meddling in our affairs and not demanding that our President take it seriously.

At least Bernie Sanders has a back bone...

I am curious if this may end Trump's Presidency... Here is my thought..

I can ignore Trump's:
- lying
- womanizing
- bragging
- attacking
- etc

As long as his efforts align with mine and what I deem good for the USA.

However when he starts to deny and ignore threats to the US System from foreign governments for his own personal gain.

When he starts to undermine the national security systems to avoid facing the truth.

It seems that his path should start to wander from that of most American citizens.

Perhaps like Trump, Trump supporters feel it's an attack on Trump's legitimacy. Maybe, deep down, they have a sense that a win in the electoral college, despite the earnest wishes of the founding fathers, isn't enough to make a president legitimate in the 21st century.
