Mis-classification Error? WAPO
WH Gets Jolt From Strong Numbers The Hill
Trump was rightly happy that jobs were gained in May instead of lost, however his over the top exuberance was probably not justified.
Yes I am happy that the country is opening up, even if it means that COVID may spread further and more may die. However I would not get too excited yet, a lot of issues still exist. On the other hand, our BIG Spending GOPers seem happy to put us further in debt.

- It seems we the tax payers may be paying the wages of many of those supposedly "employed". (ie PPP) Which usually fiscal Conservatives like me call Welfare.
- Yes the restaurants, hair salons, etc are opening which is great. But I want to know what is happening to the people in the industries who drive our economy.
- Then there seems to be an error to be resolved in the reporting.
- Finally why didn't the Asian and Black numbers move?

Looks like the Dems are much better at controlling the deficit
With Republicans, it's like they say let's save money by buying generic cornflakes, and then they go out and buy a fleet of Cadillacs. When challenged, they will say the Cadillac buy was just a one time deal and they actually saved money buying them in bulk.

While there seems to be a problem with the numbers in this particular case, no one who rides through the neighborhood on a bike as I do, can doubt that the economy is waking up. I see "help wanted" signs everywhere. The issue is whether the good jobs will return.

At least the DEMs are willing to pay for what they buy.
Where as the GOP since Reagan has been happy to spend and put it on our kid's tab. :-(
I read an article in the Washington Post, the other day, about the recent death of the last recipient of Civil War pension benefits. A number of people are still receiving benefits based on service in the Spanish American War. Wars have long tails.

That is for sure... That is a large part of why or defense spending is so big...
