Corruption

I am not a fan of Democrat policies, however I sure do hope they win so someone will start investigating this massive corruption.

Fraud is a terrible problem for Minnesota and it is appropriate to hold Minnesota's Democratic leaders responsible for it. When Tim Walz announced that he was running for a third term, I was as appalled as I have ever been about something in politics. It was worse than when we ran a candidate who didn't live in the district, it was s worse than when we chose not to boot a burglar out of the senate. Why Walz couldn't undestand that his campaign was a total and complete non starter was utterly in incomprehensible to me. And of course it did implode almost immediately. That said and more, elections are about the future, and all the Republicans want to do is talk about is the past. There campaigns are without content. They say nothing. They are without leadership. And of course, the obvious problem is that while trying to make fraud the issue, they are all strong supporters of Donald Trump, quite possibly the most corrupt politician in American history. Say what you will, and criticize if you must, my party has content. We are for stuff. The question for the voters and it's a good one is whether it's the right stuff. Michele Tafoya proudly proclaims she is neither red nor blue, which ends up meaning she stands for nothing at all. Nothing is what she offers the people of Minnesota.--Hiram

Access to the remote fastnesses of Minnesota Republican internal politics is denied to me, but that doesn't stop me from having thoughts. I think the Minnesota Republican has become sort of a rump party. It barely exists as a functioning political entity. Minnesot a Republicans are Trump supporters, and there is no organization for them. So the the organizational has no money. Minnesota Republican campaigns, if they are funded, are funded by dark money. In other words they are funded by outside forces who aren't willing to trust their money to local candidates. One result of this is Republican endorsed candidates are either ridiculous or boring.==hiram

Minnesota politics has become polarized between rural and metro areas. Republicans have disappeared from the suburbs. When I first got involved in local politics, the incumbent in my legislative district was a Republican. My district leaned Democratic, but Republicans had a history of occasionally winning it, and always had strong campaigns. Now, in two of the three races in my district, the Democrat candidates are running unopposed. I find this amazing.==Hiram

I think MAGA / Trump is too crazy for many suburban folk like myself.
