The numbers look good for the "haves", stock and house values are up. The "have nots" are hurting for certain, costs climbing. And our kids are screwed, national debt growing.

There are a lot more have nots who are complaining about the high cost of living (and many other things.) The economy is working better for older people with stocks and houses than for younger people.

There are a LOT of really low net worth folks out there whether they have a house or not. :-O
It does not help that young people love to spend money on vacations, etc.

I suspect that there are a lot of low worth folks who complain they no longer can afford the vacations they took with their parents.==Hiram
I say it a lot and I may have said it here, but here it goes. Republican voters have two huge groups. People who love Reagan, and people who hate the Democratic Party for not saving them from Reagan. The curious thing about Trump is how anti market he is. He is a price fixer. Price fixing is a modern and sophisticated form of socialism. Instead of owning the means of production, government controls how they operate, which in practical terms amounts to the same thing.==Hiram
Maybe, but most of the younger people I know are prioritizing vacations over spouses, kids, etc... And they seem to fly to many places that my stingy parents would never spend on...
