It's possible to be very pessimistic. Republicans at this point are strictly transactional. If they don't get something, they won't get anything. And the Democratic administration is running out of things that can give. When Trump takes control of Congress, what happens if there is a crisis?

I think it will be a complete disaster until 2025 unless the natural business cycle recovers.
The GOP has their usual #1 goal... Make the DEM President look bad, no matter who it hurts.
I think the S&P500 will go below 3,000... And the DOW will go below 22,000.
Republicans have been fairly silent on Ukraine. What I suspect might happen is that aid to Ukraine will be halted or reduced to a level at which the Ukrainian government cannot survive. The collapse will be blamed on Biden and Putin will offer energy, at reduced bargain rates, for which Republicans will take credit.
