First Trump Pardons White Criminals, now he sends Marines after Black and Brown protesters... Against the will of the local and state government... He is looking more and more like a Nazi Leader...

It is a challenge to draw parallels between what is happening now, and the history of the 20th century. Such parallels are inflammatory and easily distorted or misunderstood, and there is always Godwin's Law to contend with.But the problem with that is that if that we don't consider the history of the 20th century for practical political reasons, we lose the ability to learn from that history and apply it to what happens today. No, I don't think Republicans are Nazis. No, I don't think Donald Trump is a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler. But yes, I do think of mass deportations if illegal aliens today, has parallels of mass deportation of Jews, and in the Nazi era. And I think that is something to think about.--Hiram

Re publicans say Nazi analogies should be off limits. They say Walz should retract his Gestapo reference. But we are now pursuing a mass deportation, a kind of policy that was characteristic of the Nazi regime. Whatever he merits of that policy, it is one that brings in Nazi analogies withing the scope of the appropriate.--Hiram
