Romney Obama Debate 3

I don't have much to say about the debate except blah, blah, blah.  I don't think I learned anything new.  Maybe I was too distracted by the work I was doing.

What did I miss that you think was important?

So was this Presidential or petty?

"But I think Governor Romney maybe hasn't spent enough time looking at how our military works. You — you mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets — (laughter) — because the nature of our military's changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines."

Thoughts?

Or why is the President of the USA talking about hiring Teachers? Maybe he could have said he wanted to fix the unfunded Federal mandate issues, that may be a good thing for the Feds and President to do. Therefore the States would have more money free for Teachers or other things. (ie State's choice and control)

"And what I now want to do is to hire more teachers, especially in math and science, because we know that we've fallen behind when it comes to math and science." Obama

Yet he keeps saying he wants to hire 100,000 Math and Science Teachers. Is it a play to transfer more power from the States to the Fed, or a shameless effort to get votes?

Or this one by Romney...

"I'm not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin, and I'm certainly not going to say to him, I'll give you more flexibility after the election. After the election he'll get more backbone." Romney
