MCA Scores

Well, here are the MCA II scores for the year. I included RAS, the State and Beacon Academy. I figured they should be there for comparison purposes, since RAS fears them so much that they won't sell them an excess building. By the way, R = Reading and M = Math....

I'll hold my thoughts for now. What do you see in these results?

Give--I'm interested in this info, but I can't see your graphs and can't drill down on the state graphs. They could use some clearer data delivery systems, for sure.

I was going to say, give them sometime to update the database, they just got the results... However it seems updated, at least for ZLE...

First: Go to the MN Dept of Education School Report Card site.
LINK

Second: Select the school of interest.

Third: Ignore the screens that come up... The pretty pictures are still being updated.

Fourth: Select the "Analyze Your Results" link from under the Section Links menu on the right side. (note: demographics is further down)

Fifth: Select the "Edit Analysis Options" link and play to your heart's content.

You can pretty much turn on/off everything and see all kinds of graphs. You can even run comparisons.

A data nerd's dream come true !!!!

This irony is worth noting... So, I at random pull up RSIS just to test it out. (ie make sure I am not blowing smoke...)

I select 3rd grade Math scores and ask for the data to be divided by "Free and Reduce Lunch Status". So far so good.

Then the irony occurs 10 for 10 (100%) of the eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch kids score profficient, whereas only 89 of the 98 (91%) of the not eligible kids scored as profficient.

By the way, both numbers are great !!! It is just the first time I have seen the numbers fall this way.

The normal is what the district results show 61% & 89%, or the State results show 70% & 90%.

Congrats !!!
