Laurie apparently did not think much of "G2A American Liberals are SO Selfish" since she left us this gift. :-)
As your topic is idiotic I am going to post an unrelated link rather than a comment. Trump’s most consequential accomplishment so far isn’t the tax bill The accomplishment is not a good one. it is becoming the first administration that routinely lies about everything. I believe the count is at more than 2000 lies.

I think Trump's biggest accomplishment is his Federal court nominations. It is the one legacy I am confident will last, assuming that future administrations continue to accept the legitimacy of federal court decisions.

Actually, if it takes 2000 lies to pass a tax bill, compared with 10,000 lies AGAINST Trump, the tax bill-- "Armageddon" and "crumbs"-- and everything else, I would say it's a wonder /anything/ gets accomplished against such formidable odds. And please understand that many of those who voted for him consider Trump's greatest accomplishment to be driving the liberal media nuts.

Oh, it's quite clear that Trump's supporters have no interest in someone who knows how to govern.

"knows how to govern"??? You really consider Washington DC governable in its current state?
What has surprised me to some degree is how passive Trump is. He campaigned as someone who can get things done. But now that he is in office, he seems to completely defer to Congress, particularly to Republicans in Congress.
This is sort of like Jesse Ventura. Jesse was a drain the swamp candidate. And when he came in, he did do a bit of draining. But once he was in office for a while, he seemed to get bored, and then withdrawn. Trump seemed bored from the outset.

Perhaps Trump's biggest accomplishment is creating such a s-storm of epic proportions that the fact that he had a months-long affair with a porn star and paid her $130K to keep quiet about it has been a non-story.
This seems appropriate here...

"You really consider Washington DC governable in its current state?"
It's as if you're not even responding to me, even though you think you are.
Trump is obviously not terribly interested in governing or learning how to do it. And he's (unfortunately) President of the entire country, not simply Washington DC.

"Trump is obviously not terribly interested in governing or learning how to do it."
That sounds like a very strong OPINION, bordering on unfounded speculation. Again, his greatest accomplishment is driving the "establishment" nuts, focussing on irrelevancies while he quietly drains the swamp, little by little.
I am with Moose on this one... Trump is terrible at leading / governing...
Only a terrible leader would say; I'll sign the compromise bill on Tuesday...
And then attack the folks presenting the compromise bill on Thursday...
He really seems to have no clue...
Well or maybe he has Multiple Personality Disorder. :-)
See, it is your OPINION that he was presented a "compromise bill," and that is simply not true. Nothing has passed the House or Senate, certainly not between Tuesday and Thursday. Sounds to me like GREAT governing, where Congress has the authority and should decide and, through great deliberation, produce consensus legislation, which the President, true to his responsibilities, signs or vetoes.
And wasn't he a CEO for many years? Sounds like a leader to me. In fact, I don't recall Sen. Schumer making any such derogatory remarks when Mr. Trump was funneling oodles of money into his campaigns.
He has been a business owner for a long time and likely not a very successful one if his gains are about the same as investing in the stock market.
Bloomberg Choices
1.) Donald Trump has no clue about policy.
2.) Because of #1, Donald Trump is easily manipulated in meetings into agreeing with things that often do not agree with things he has said in the past.
3.) Then, his advisors -- principally Kelly and Miller (on immigration) -- have to walk him back into the position he has tried to brand himself into over the last two years.
4.) Because of the above, no one in Congress -- on either side -- can trust him.
5.) Gridlock and chaos ensues.
Republicans were able to get taxes through because Trump largely stayed out of the way on that one. His interventions on health care and immigration have actually derailed the process.
And don't forget his inability to admit publicly that he is learning and changing in this job...
I had a co-worker like him, I would spend time and he would slowly warm to my position ... Then the next time I saw him it was like that discussion never had taken place. He had snapped back to where we had started...
