Odd. I still do not see "realists" anywhere on your chart, those who, like most, see the world in 3D rather than a 2D political spectrum. We can observe, for example, inflation, without the necessity of blaming one political party or the other.
Yes a Realist would be one who looks at issues from various perspectives. Only then can they see the TRUTH...
And yes I am sure that we can all agree that inflation exists.
Though I am not sure anyone wants to stop there, especially with a mid-term election coming up quick.
Therefore it is important to understand the trade offs, causal factors, potential actions that can be taken, potential intended and unintended consequences, etc. Unfortunately few are willing to look at that from many perspectives while managing their conscious and sub-conscious biases.
Well, that all seems reasonable, yet I find it oddly lacking in "perspective." I think FACT can be derived from any reasonable "perspective." I used to read the Star Tribune and could pick out the FACTS from the biased wording, though it took too much time. I now find that Fox News makes it easier to do that, even though the FACTS are the same. Now, what to do about the factual problem presented? I believe that, too, is a matter of simple common sense, coupled with a little common (or easily acquired) knowledge. The only place politics enters into it is deciding which political "side" (i.e. Party) is closest to the common sense solution. We should never let political posturing determine our view of the underlying issue. If the Democrats' "Affordable Care Act" had been labelled the "UNaffordable Care Act" would it have passed? Costs of medical care were rising-- fact-- but ACA was not the common sense solution.

Now they do have an okay news org, unfortunately it is drowned out by their opinion shows.
Ah. I only watch their news, the rest is entertainment. But I see your problem. What you are missing is discernment. You need to separate fact from opinion, and you will fare much better. Facts are easily checked, by simply finding somebody like the Star Tribune or AP telling you the same FACT as Fox does, but from an entirely different opinion space. One does have to be careful, however, because the absence of reporting (of a fact) from one "side" does NOT mean the FACT does not exist, e.g. Hunter's laptop. You can then form your OWN opinion from these facts, or side with one of the "sides" to the debate and you get to pick which one.
Let me offer you this choice. Which is a "fact" or are both just opinion/spin? The WH says "there is nothing the President can do about gas prices" (a month ago) OR "We're bringing gas prices down." (last week)

He has been pretty candid in admitting that there is little a President can do in the short term to control oil supply, demand or price...
Unless you think there is something he can do to force companies to drill, pump faster, etc?
Please remember that people like me who are invested in oil companies love the high prices and profits. Why would companies or countries be in any hurry to pump more and drive the prices down?
Pretty much all a President can do is ask them too. Though I did like the use or lose it idea...

He said he could do nothing about prices, then claims credit when they go down. OK, maybe logically inconsistent is too generous; call it blatant hypocrisy, or maybe just obviously lying.
I read his statement. I do not see him claiming credit.
