Sun Sailor Irony

Last week's paper was interesting, these two were across the page from each other.

One in which an Editor is commenting that he thinks schools and cities should operate differently. This coming from a journalist was unique in its own right.
Sun Sailor Radically Rethink

And this one where Principals working as guest columnists advertise their "traditional" schools.
Sun Sailor Middle Schools are Excellent

What do you think? A funny alignment of the stars?

By the way, I forgot to mention that I sent Mr. Wahl links to both Give2Attain and Speed Gibson. I figured if he was looking for new ideas, our reader's have had some excellent comments/thoughts. It will be interesting to see if he raises any of them in the coming weeks.

I see another of his readers sent him the SMART acronym. Well if we listen really close, maybe he will join us in this medium with a few comments ???

Or maybe he will write a community interest article on the bloggers of the RAS community.... We are quite the diverse lot.

I would suggest that we get the municipal government we vote for. I like to think my own Brooklyn Center is pretty well run. Minneapolis is the opposite, of course, laying off police to keep Rybak's friends at City Hall employed.

But education, yes, opportunities for interesting change abound, and the the unions are opposed to each and every one of them!
