Conservative Minds are Diseased

The conservative mind has become disease

I guess I whole heartedly agree with the author... Except I think both the far left and far right are both guilty of it...

"A conspiratorial approach to politics is fully consistent with other forms of dehumanization — of migrants, refugees and “the other” more generally. Men and women are reduced to types and presented as threats. They also become props in an ideological drama. They are presented as representatives of a plot involving invasion and infiltration, rather than being viewed as individuals seeking opportunity or fleeing oppression and violence. This also involves callousness, cruelty and conspiracy thinking."

The difference is that the far left focuses on de-humanizing the successful people, conservative people, etc...

As for Hannity... I have no idea why he is still employed at a supposed "news organization". He should be over working with Breitbart and the other loonies.

As for Rush, he is not a news organization... He is an entertainer... Even though his confirmed ditto heads would disagree.

Morning Joe slams GOP: ‘My party is going straight to hell’ (VIDEO)

I can agree with Joe.

I do find it strange that the Fed GOP officials don't use my simple logic.

"We are removing this money from the Fed budget and taxes to the give these functions back to the State. Therefore the States can raise taxes and add services if they feel their citizens need more assistance."

Instead they look like either liars or idiots by saying that they are not cutting things...

Of course there is that problem that the GOP is planning to spend more on defense, not actual cutting the Fed spend...

I believe reality checks are beneficial. I try to avoid characterizing political acts or beliefs in terms of illness or disease. I think that is a tactic used to avoid substantive discussion. But I do think it often happens that people go too far down the wrong path. Obviously, body slamming a reporter might be an example of that. But in fairness, I am going to talk about problems that occur on my side of things. Lately, a lot of left wing kids have taken to prevent assorted conservative speakers from speaking on college campuses. Now there is a logic to that, a path to follow, but as we know, perfectly logical and persuasive arguments can lead to utterly absurd conclusions, and this is such a case. No matter what the reasoning, the notion that people are barred from college campuses because of the nature of their views is appalling. The question this suggests, as wrong as the people are who would do that might be, are they in fact diseased? Is there some treatment they are in need of? I don't think they are. Similarly, I don't the body slamming congressman is necessarily diseased. I think he might be just tired, and maybe just not a good guy, and I don't think there is a pill one can take for either of those things.

From what I know of many people from "out West", they likely cheered the candidate for putting a physical end to the harassment by a Liberal journalist. Given how pushy some journalists are, I have a hard time feeling sorry for him.

Sometimes people aren't sick. Sometimes they are just evil.

Does that include the journalists and paparazzi who just don't take no for an answer?

I sure don't see pushing back at them as evil...

so you think this is an acceptable way for a candidate to respond to a question?

"There were witnesses. A Fox News crew was there, and as Fox’s Alicia Acuna wrote of the altercation:

“Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, ‘I’m sick and tired of this!’ ”

I think he should be charged with assault.

I guess the Republican candidate for Congress just needed a "safe space".

Or I guess... "No means No." And the aggressor should stop... Before the victim responds...

So now you're defending assaulting reporters?
