Last night, Trump did what he told the American people he would not do. He chose to put more Americans in harm's way, with increasing in any material way our chance of success in Afghanistan. In a situation where lives would be placed at risk and would be lost, he chose the option that would cause him the least pain domestically. Given a mandate to be bold, he opted for weakness and political self interest. Americans wanted and were promised Trump Tower, Donald Trump has given us a food cart outside a McDonald's.
