Mark Mobius Predicts Double Bottom
Okay stock prognosticators, I missed the first bottom since I was looking for less than 18,000 to start buying. And our spend thrift deficit drivers screwed that up.
The good news is I am still even... Just no wins or losses... :-) :-(
Mark above thinks I will have another chance... (well unless we keep stealing TRILLIONS of DOLLARS from our kids and grand kids) What do you think?
One more question for those who like their tax cuts and spending increases, would you take a mortgage out in your children's name so you could live better today and leave them with the bill?

The whole thing blows my mind. I think we're in for another fall before a return to positive trends, but I've lost a fair bit of money with that thinking. Now I've transitioned my "play money" account to buying longer term calls in industries that are impacted, but not to the degree their stock price reflects. Meanwhile, the bulk of my funds sits in mutual funds, feeling a bit safer than trying to play guessing games with people with apparently infinitely deep pockets.
Most of our net worth is in IRAs, so there are few fun options... (ie no cabins, lake homes, car collections, etc)
And most of it is in one / two of these funds
I change my aggressiveness just by changing the year... :-)

Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund Investor Shares 21.80%
Vanguard Total International Bond Index Fund Investor Shares 15.20%
Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund Investor Shares 14.40%
Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index Fund 14.00%
Target Retirement 2065

Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund Investor Shares 35.90%
Vanguard Total Bond Market II Index Fund Investor Shares† 7.40%

I am not a couch potato investor any more... But I am really close...
So I moved from Target 2045 ish to Target 2020 ish...
And some in cash
Now the question is just when to change years again to something more aggressive. :-)
