One of my frustrations with IRA's and 401K's is that our investment options are very limited. It isn't like we can go buy a lake home, collector cars, a business, etc.

Since Trump seems to be pretty much the opposite of everything I respect in a citizen and leader, I sure will not mind if he ends up in jail for the rest of his life. It will be interesting to see what the prosecutors have uncovered. :-)

By resisting Capitol Storming Investigation
The Capitol was taken over insurrectionists for the first time in modern history, people died and the Crazy Folks in the GOP don't want to investigate what happened and went wrong. Really?
These are the hypocrites who wasted tons of time and money on Benghazi, Clinton emails, investigating the Trump investigations, and countless others.
And they will not even support the police who were attacked and killed by people who were trying to stop the lawful operation of the US Government.

I am often amazed by how many Americans seem to want to blindly support the Israeli government's terrible dehumanizing actions just because they are against those "Muslims".
I do wonder what atrocities Israel's American supporters can ignore?
A very Liberal FB acquaintance had an unfortunate thing happen. He put his work tools in the box of his pickup truck in preparation for the next day's job. Unfortunately some criminal cut his tonneau cover and stole the tools.
And he went on FB to vent about this event, and to mention how terrible it is that this person's job is to drive around at night and take from others without knowledge of the damage they inflict.
I unfortunately chose this moment to voice my frustration against the welfare state, tax the wealthy and anti-police supporters. Which of course was not appreciated...
I am sorry for your loss of the tools and hope they catch the criminals. 🙁

Should people who preach High Taxes, Lots of Handouts and Defund the Police be vocal when some criminal robs them? Or should they be thankful they could help out that desperate person?
I could just imagine if the officers had pulled over that van cruising the neighborhoods in the middle of the night... This would be the same group saying the officers shouldn't be doing that? 😮

A speech worth listening to. Here is a snippet. The sad thing is that most of the other GOP Reps refused to stay and listen, or provide any viable counter argument. They chose to stay silent and embolden the liars. :-(
I am a conservative Republican and the most conservative of conservative principles is reverence for the rule of law. The Electoral College has voted. More than 60 state and federal courts, including multiple judges the former president appointed, have rejected his claims. The Trump Department of Justice investigated the former president's claims of widespread fraud and found no evidence to support them. The election is over. That is the rule of law. That is our constitutional process.
Those who refuse to accept the rulings of our courts are at war with the Constitution. Our duty is clear. Every one of us who has sworn the oath must act to prevent the unraveling of our democracy. This is not about policy. This is not about partisanship. This is about our duty as Americans. Remaining silent and ignoring the lie emboldens the liar. I will not participate in that. I will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the former president's crusade to undermine our democracy.
By removing Cheney. For her telling the truth.
I am so disappointed in GOP voters and the party. Oh well, I guess I will be voting elsewhere until they start valuing honesty and transparency...

Gov. Noem: Biggest cultural challenge is 'defeating anti-American indoctrination'
The title of this post was mostly ode to Elton John, though rarely do I find things to like about Noem.
In this case Noem is attacking the very factual, no punches pulled 1619 project curriculum. She instead wants Americans to put on rose colored glasses and deny our horrific distant past by pushing the inaccurate and incomplete 1776 commission story.
Then she complains of possible indoctrination while...

It is almost impossible to make this stuff. A leader who wants to focus only on the good things about America while denying slavery, reservations, deaths / torture of millions of minorities, etc over our ~400 year history on this continent. That old saying seems appropriate here.

A friend and I were arguing how protected officers should be from law suits, and demanded that qualified immunity be ended for officers. He seemingly wanted them open to suits whenever anything went wrong. I explained that almost all American workers are protected from law suits by our employers, government and corporate law. Besides who in their right mind will waste their money suing a person when much deeper pockets are available.
I can't even imagine what would happen if every individual office had to buy the equivalent of "malpractice insurance"? 😯
He then accused me of wanting to protect bad police officers. Of course, I had to remind him that it was his "Team Liberal" that supports public employee unions and their on going protection of poor / incompetent employees. I am happy to allow managers fire any questionable employee.
