A Strange Character

A brief story to give you some additional incite as to how I see the world. Not sure how I got wired this way, however I am pretty consistent.

When I was in College there was a $250 scholarship that I could apply for. I chose to not apply because I was in pretty good shape financially, and felt the money could better help a student that was struggling financially. This was and is my definition of right, acting responsibly and showing good character.

Now is this good, bad, stupid, smart?

The ironic twist to the story is: One of my best friends who was better off than me financially ended up with the scholarship. Do I regret the choice ? Not one bit....
