MN State Police Community Task Force

It looks like the folks with the communities with the problems are looking for a fall guy... Again...

Instead of focusing on fixing their communities...  They want to make things more difficult for those who are trying to help...

You know my view, if Nekima etal spent more time helping the police kick the gangs out of their neighborhoods...  The other problems would go away...

But it is always easier to see obstacles elsewhere than to look in the mirror.

Yes, criminal behavior is a problem. Yes, there are instances where police behavior is a problem. We can work on them both at the same time!

Sorry, I am going to come down on the side of the police officers almost every time.

Society delegated an incredibly challenging and dangerous responsibility to them. I don't want them feeling pressured to risk their lives or let bad guys go in the name of political correctness and never making a mistake.

And people who truly want to improve their community by stopping crime should agree. And if violent crime rates drops far enough... No more nervous cops and citizens.

Sure, and we also give them great power and authority that, if abused, can cause great harm to innocent individuals. I would argue it actually improves the legitimacy of the remaining police officers if we take strong, decisive actions against those who misuse that power.

Remember what happens when bosses tell employees that "MISTAKES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"... The employees start reprioritizing their choices.

MPLS Arrests Down

Why would any typical public servant take the risk in any but the most certain situation?

Are you sure you are a Liberal? Can we start enforcing this with ineffectual / low energy Teachers?

There are processes for removing teachers, just as there are for police officers. Both require due process, as they should.

See problem solved in both cases... No need for more protests...

I am sure the Unions have the best interest of the citizens and children in the fore front of their goals. :-)

At least that is what ED MN says on a regular basis...
