Congress Steps Up Pressure as Trump Administration Evades Bailout Oversight NYT

Larry Kudlow backs Mnuchin call not to disclose recipients of business loans from coronavirus stimulus  USA Today

National Economic Council Chairman Larry Kudlow on Sunday said he backs Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin's decision not to disclose the recipients of the more than $500 billion distributed through the Paycheck Protection Program that was created in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
It just amazes me that the GOP Voters are NOT SCREAMING to see the LIST.  They same folks who picked apart the 2009 bailout expenditures. This is $500,000,000,000 tax dollars and you are going to let them keep it secret?

Trump believes the virus is something that you can keep secrets from.

The president is not an absolute ruler. It's not illegal to oppose him or to thwart his rule. In our system, he isn't a leader of the government. There are two other collateral branches which are equal, and which are independent of the executive branch. By the way, what the president says isn't secret. Anybody he says it to, is perfectly free to share his remarks with others. How is it possible that Trump doesn't know that?

I do think if a Democrat is elected president, the bailouts will be a great deal more difficult to get. In effect, Republicans will let voters know that they are holding the country hostage.
