Carlson Gives Credit Where Credit is Due

Here is an article at MinnPost that I can for the most part agree with.
MinnPost Carlson Credits Diverse Economy

Arne Carlson gives credit where credit is due.  Not to the politicians, but to the great businesses we have in the state.

And I agree, thank heavens for our strong Ag and Tourism industries.  Thank heavens for all the strong companies and great employees that make our success possible !!!  Even with all those politicians trying to make it more expensive and difficult... Thoughts?

And will Obama's legacy be saved by the economy?

CNN Is It Always the Economy?

A large part of Obama's legacy will be Obamacare and also ending 2 wars. He will probably get some credit for presiding over an improving economy.

Technically he ended no wars... He just removed US troops from peace keeping functions in countries where people are still dying. Better for American soldiers and budgets, worse for the weak and poor in those countries...

Now I know Rudy and I am on the correct track. Grace at MPP is officially giving the DFL and Dayton credit for companies choosing to expand or build in MN. Like these plans have not been under way for more than ~10 months, or like they would not have happened had the GOP still been in control.

It is strange how both the Right and Left claim or refuse responsibility for things that they do not control. Maybe one of them will claim that their policies helped the sun keep rising...

Forbes State Rank

And they continue to reference the above ranking without mentioning that though MN is 8 and WI is 41... Their proof that DFL is GOOD and GOP is BAD...

They neglect to mention that ND is 2, NE is 6, SD is 11 and IA is 12. The "cherry picking" by extremists is amazing.

Also, please note that WI(35) still has even a higher "business cost" than MN(34). Maybe Walker has some more work to do.

Dayton has been gov for nearly 3 yrs and I think the state doing well is some indication the the dfl is not bad for business. I also think the dfl is better at maintaining or improving our quality of life strength (schools, roads, arts sports etc.)

I am not sure about that, however I am pretty sure they are working hard to take that #35 business cost spot from Wisconsin... And maybe jump a few points higher...

And come now, Dayton was pretty much a lame duck for his first 2 years. The spending and tax increases were just signed on 23May13. And some of it was not effective until 30Jun13, or the end of 2013.

That was only about 6 months ago. The changes may be for the better or worse, however we won't know for a couple of years. And if they proceed with a significant minimum wage adjustment, that will go into the mix and that should help us eclipse WI in that cost of doing business category.
