Is US Business Friendly?

Over here, Sean insists that the USA is business friendly because we are ranked number 8.

I say the USA has too many taxes, rules and regulations given the large number of categories where we do not even place in the top 20.  In fact we only place in the Top 20 in 3 questionable areas: Getting Credit, Enforcing Contracts and Resolving Insolvency.  Thoughts?

I have noted that while companies do like to move their P.O. Boxes to Dublin, they are reluctant to actually move their businesses there.

Given that Ireland is 6th on taxation and we are 36th, that makes sense to me.

Same reason many people change their legal residency out of MN when they retire. Why pay high taxes when there is a legal remedy available?

This is why global and state competition is good. It puts pressure on politicians and bureaucrats to think about how to do more with less. How can MN and the USA have maintained our other benefits while lowering our taxes?
