Half of Republicans are Delusional?

They think ANTIFA stormed the capitol.

The GOP is definitely in big TROUBLE.

As I may have mentioned before, I made a decision long ago, not to attribute political differences to mental illness. In recent years, and especially in recent months and weeks, my resolve on this point has been sorely challenged. It is a whole lot easier than I would like it to be, to think of those people who assaulted our capitol as the victims of some sort of mass pscyhosis. The alternatives to that view are chilling.

Nikki Haley gave an interview to the widely respected, not at all liberal journalist, Tim Alberta which was published today in Politico. In it, she repeatedly said, basically, that Trump does believe his own lies. In effect, she was claiming he was delusional, and that this should serve as a defense, politically, and I would extrapolate, legally. Others don't share my resistance to characterize political differences as the result of mental illness. Could she be right? Could the inconceivable could have happened, and I that I could have been wrong? I don't choose to think that even now. But it is very hard to believe for me, that Trump, and those who follow him, could still believe such unbeliveable things.
