FOX Scaring the Yokels with CRIME

Using BAD analysis and Cherry picked data.  The reality is that most of the available data is from 2020.

Listen to Fear Itself here for more details on how FOX is manipulating their viewers.

Even FOX admits that the data is incomplete and the spike occurred under Trumps Presidency.  So why are they beating a CRIME drum right before the election?

I ran into just how scared the yokels are recently when a Carrie Underwood concert was advertised on my Facebook.  There were commenters who were scared to come to the concert due to the rampant crime in the metro... :-O  Really !!! :-O

Now I have attended soccer, football and baseball games this Summer with no problem...

Then this "Law and Order" party down plays White Nationalist violence and the Pelosi attack, while helping to incite it

And Bolsonaro supporters in Brasil are blockading roads, with God knows what else to come. That is our future if we don't put our boots to the necks of the Fascist uprising in this country.
What is it with the propensity of humans to put so much trust and faith into a "supreme" leader to "save" us?

I have been stumped how normally perfectly sane people like my parent's are still enthralled in the Trump Cult.

Maybe it is old age and fear??? Trump and FOX news thrive on pushing that button. :-(

We saw the problem. Trump told Minneapolis cops that thay could brutalize people more. They took him at his word, and the result events transpired which essentially destroyed the department. Republicans want to bring back the brutality of the summer 2020 and hope for different results.

I am thinking the DEMs and BLM folks are responsible for "destroying the MPD".

IMO, Trump sent signals to police departments all over the country to be more aggressive in their tactics. Personally, I think that was a factor in the street encounter between Minneapolis Police and George Floyd, not just in the use of force but in the atmosphere around it.

But the fact is, it happened, and the police officers involved were prosecuted for the most serious charges possible. Trump, who encouraged aggressive policing, disappeared leaving the cops without backing. Since then, Minneapolis policeLot have backed away from policing that could be called aggressive. No cop wants to go to prison for life over a fake 20 dollar bill.

Lots of Republicans are talking about getting tough on crime. What that means in practice is busting more chops on the street. But cops in Minneapolis and really all over the country and while they know if Republicans take control, they will have permission to be more aggressive, they also know Republicans won't have their backs when things get tough.

I agree with most of what you wrote.

Though if Trump had his way the officers would not have been prosecuted.

I think crime was and is important issue, I just don't think the people of Minneapolis think the best way to handle is to give the cops a free hand.

And they pay for that choice daily... :-(
