It seems strange how the supposedly Law and Order folks, are now the attack the FBI and Justice department folks. I guess as long as they get their way, they are happy.

I was thinking about that this morning. Lately, I have been rewatching "Northern Exposure" and of course, "The Andy Griffith Show", which I watched in my formative years, frames how I see the world in general, and how I see small towns, in particular.
I don't recognize either Cicely, or Mayberry, in the lyrics of the Aldean song. Nobody is carjacking anyone. Andy doesn't carry a gun, and the gun Barney carries is without bullets. Cicely shows little evidence of law enforcement at all. No one is stalked, at least not by good ol' boys who were raised right. Little hostility is shown except in last night's Northern Exposure where the possibly unreal Adam can't bear any questions about his recipes.

I think that is Jason's point. Apparently all the BAD folks are smart enough to stay away from the small towns...
Maybe Barney was actually a serial kill like Dexter who protected the Mayberry...
