It is so strange...
The concept of credibility has been under attack for a long, long time. Today, just about anyone who takes a different political position finds his credibility under attack in many different ways. We search for reasons to exclude people from public debate. just about every day, I am accused of being a retard, libtard, hypocrite, dumb, stupid, and just a moment ago, a cornhole. All of those may be true in varying ways. I am the first to own up to hypocrisy. But even if they are true, what do they have to do with being either right or wrong on any given issue? We seem to have decided being an idiot is the same thing as being wrong, and for myself, I just don't see the connection.--HIram
I posted this to a MAGA friend on FB who was defending Trump's ICE inconsistencies and lies. No answer yet.
"I have no heart burn with ICE, they are just doing what their racist bosses are telling them to. The reality is that most of these folks entered the USA legally. They were given Temporary protected status, Refugee status, Asylum status, etc. And they were following the laws.
Unfortunately our orange freak of a POTUS decided that he does like brown and black folks in the USA, so he arbitrarily cancelled the status of many of these desperate workers. While also allowing in White folks from South Africa.
Of course our liar in chief knows that folks want the good workers to stay here. So he and his admininistration keep lying about who they are targeting. These are not the "worst of the worst", they are just desperate people in need of a hand up. (see link)
So how do you wrestle with Jesus saying that we should help the needy and love our neighbors, while supporting an administration that is trying round up day laborers of the street to deport these folks to South Sudan where they do not have any support or know the language?
I am curious what all the supposed Christians will say when they get to those pearly gates. 😮 🙂 "I know they were poor, desperate and needy, but they did not dot all the i's and cross all the t's." 😮
