Illegal Executive Orders

I look forward to SCOTUS kicking Trump's "Emperor A$$" again...

I wonder when we citizens will get Trump's illegally collected taxes refunded to us?

In the law, there is an important distinction between ordering the doing of things, and the stopping of things being done. It's something Trump deeply understands. He knows that because the courts are reluctant to stop him from doing stuff, he can do anything he wants. Our judges have been very late in understanding this practical aspect of the law, to the extent that they understand it at all.===Hiram

I think Trump would disagree with you. It seems to me that the courts are stopping his actions in many areas... :-O

I don't see a lot of coverage of that. Have we stopped charging those tariffs? Or if we have, are we just imposing them in different ways? I st do know there has been no effort to return the tariffs unalawfully assessed. Have they stopped work on the White House? Trump understands the courts act slowly as if they still lived in the 18th century. They still haven't adapted to the speed made available by the internet. It is almost as if they haven't completely given up on moving stone tablets around.==Hiram

I believe the worst ruling since Dred Scot was the court's holding that the president is above the law. It rejected centuries of Anglo American law and Anglo American history. I saw a video clip with Senator Johnson from Wisconsin this morning. In it, the senator talks about how the constitution is fine, but it is important for the justices to focus on the bigger picture. For constitutional officers, there is no bigger picture. They get their authority from the constitution, and without it, they don't have jobs. America is a country without the constitution, but without and outside of the constitution, it doesn't have a government.==Hiram
