Now I understand their role keeps expanding, but wouldn't you think modern technology should be driving down the headcount. Thoughts?

It's pretty clear that what Trump babbles has very little to do with what migh done. Wait until the grownups have been in charge for a while to see what happens.

Trump has been firing government employees at a pretty good clip so far. Hopefully he will continue to cull the herd.
