Trump’s press conference was an infomercial.
The 2 most important words in Trump’s press conference.
I won.
First link was weak, but 2nd link was good.
I liked my second link better as well. I will try to limit my links more to the ones I find the best.
While I think this story is already on its way out I found these links provided by K. Drum interesting.
Here's a Bit More on That Trump-Russia Dossier
"No, you don't get a question. You're fake news"
Did you hear the applause from the back of the room? No one identified who it was.
Right after getting that epic smack-down, CNN spent 45 on-air minutes explaining why they really are not fake news...they promise. And Laurie defends them with a raft of fake news from leftist fever swamps.
World class trolling by Trump, and the left is really unhinged. This is going to be the most entertaining 8 years of my life.
It will be amusing, that is for sure.
And as far as I understand CNN reported correctly.
"A unsubstantiated document has been made public from a source that has historically been reliable."
Trump denying this and calling it fake news is silly. And the idea that he won't call on people or he will stop having news conferences if people don't report what he wants them to is very unfortunate.
What would Trump do if the real estate market turned against his company?

He would blame it on anyone except himself.
He is like some other self absorbed people I know...
- Every success is because of them.
- Every failure is someone else's fault.
Now what is the point of the question.
Eric at MPs Take
John, you've linked to Eric Black several times, and I wonder what it is about him that you find interesting? I've read several of his pieces, and he comes across as a leftist that has abandoned himself to hysteria. The statements he claims as fact, aren't. His suffering isn't even amusing; it's pathetic.
In addition, it appears that the minnpost site protects him from uncomfortable questions, although I assume that is true of everything they publish, to be fair.
What's your relationship with these people? Just curious.
He would blame it on anyone except himself.
Would he intervene to hold the market up? Given the nature of his lack of disclosure, how would we know?

Fred,
To answer your question you need to remember why I took up this strange hobby.
Give2Attain's Stated Purpose
"Raising social involvement, self awareness and self improvement topics, because our communities are the sum of our personal beliefs, behaviors, action or inaction. Only "we" can improve our family, work place, school, city, country, etc."

G2A Facing Reality
G2A Political Self Awareness
Now back to MinnPost, I really like what they cover and became a gold donor a couple of years ago. Some of their column writers (ie Eric) and community voices are a bit Liberal, MANY of their commenters are very Liberal but overall they do pretty good.
Besides they allow comments and work hard to ensure they stay pretty polite and professional. Even though I will vent regularly about the few of my comments that disappear into the ether.
Another Professor gave me an excellent quote...
"Not all old people are wise."
That is why you will often see a link regarding the Teacup whenever one of us starts saying that they are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the other half of the population is WRONG...
In conclusion, G2A is simply a safe place to discuss, disagree, and hopefully learn... Unfortunately we have been doing this for years and I think Jerry, Laurie, Hiram, Joel and Sean have not changed their views very much... Guess I'll keep going.
Hiram,
I agree that Trump's solution is not ideal by any means... But I also think it is unrealistic to expect him to sell his life's work.
about not changing views - I see you did not include yourself on that list. What views have you changed? I always find it amusing this self image you have of being the reasonable, moderate person, above partisan leanings.
I actually think my views have changed slightly around the edges on some thing as a result of participating in your blog.
Since I spend 2/3rds of my time arguing against Liberal positions... And Liberals accuse me of being a Conservative...
And I spend 1/3 of my time arguing against Conservative positions... And Conservatives accuse me of being a Liberal...
Which side am I partisan for?
Partisan: a strong supporter of a party, cause, or person.
"Which side am I partisan for?" seriously, you have to ask? if nothing else look logically at your math. By your own estimation you spend twice as much time arguing with liberals (which makes you conservative). I will say you are significantly less conservative and much more reality based than Jerry, which makes exchanging views with you more interesting and worth the effort. With someone with a far right perspective there is barely even a small patch of common ground regarding facts.
I think my post... Yes The GOP is Stupid should earn me a few non-partisan points...
As for why I argue against the Liberals more... It has nothing to do with supporting the GOP. It has to do with my belief that the Democratic Socialism logic is terribly flawed based on my understanding of human nature. (ie motivators and de-motivators)
Well that and the answer I typically get when I ask a Liberal how much money the government should use from our economy? And the answer is "As much as they need..."
Maybe I will hold out my wallet to the waitress next time and say... Please take as much as you need for a tip... :-)
I believe based on past comments you have made that if you reviewed your voting record it would be more than 90% for the GOP which sounds pretty partisan to me.
As for at the restaurant, when you take your family out to eat and find the $25 dollars you had budgeted to to spend will only feed 3 of the 5 people in your family. Do you tell a couple of your kids sorry you can not eat today or do you decide to spend a little more?
What were in the documents Trump produced?
--Hiram
Partisan: a strong supporter of a party, cause, or person.
I guess I don't see voting for the candidate who has similar views as partisan.
As for the $25, actually we would split the dishes so everybody got some. Then my wife and I would work hard to learn more and earn more. Or we would eat at home.
Let's try this exercise with a roof contractor... Does one get 3 estimates and pick the one with good references, then hold them accountable for doing a quality job within the budget? Or do you just call someone, give them your wallet and accept whatever job they do with no complaint?
Now I agree that we need to give the government realistic goals and funding. But they also have to deliver and strive to do a better job with less money. Not just keep finding more things and people to spend money on.
Hiram,
I agree that Trump should release his tax documents, if that is typical.
I just disagree with making him sell real estate assets.
