Mn Progressive Project Boots Give2Attain

According to Dan's comment I am apparently no longer welcome at MPP.
MPP Fight Within the DFL
The link is regarding Educational Reform.  My guess is that Lynnell will be next...  I am thinking their blog is going to get real quiet real quick...  Since discussion / debate is what drives my hits up.  However , maybe they just like to hear their own voices...  Don't worry we can evaluate their content from here.

Thoughts on DFL Educational Reformers?  As I said before I was gagged at MPP, I like Terri Bonoff in this area!!!

I was just reading the education post over there and wondered what that was about. Are you being too much of a smart ass?

John said...

Highly possible. However I think they are concerned that I am confusing their readers with data and questions...

I promise to keep appreciating and respecting the intellectual capability of G2A's excellent readers by constantly confusing things with data and questions.

I am not sure why they think their writers and readers need protection from my questions and data... I was thinking we can do a Top 10 List of why they censored me...

One was they all own Volkswagens and feel bad whenever I mention that 90% of their purchase cost went to support the German workers, German Government and German welfare recipients...

Was that what you meant by smart ass???

Also, Dan always disliked my cross linking to old G2A stuff. Though I sure was not going to rewrite what we had already created.

I think he thought I was trying to increase readership at G2A. Which I wasn't and it didn't. G2A is still sitting at ~100 hits/day +/- 40...

For interested readers, G2A is always looking for guest "authors" or post ideas. If you are on the far Right, far Left or somewhere in between, and are truly interested in cross spectrum feedback on your ideas, just drop me an email at give2get@live.com.

If your post conforms to the G2A rules (ie polite & professional) I will happily post it. Or if you don't know how to word it, I will happily do a little research and broach the topic here in some manner.

Remember G2A is about helping people to talk through what they believe. I personally have no interest in convincing you one way or another in most cases. However I am very interested in helping you understand why you believe what you believe... Is it just a matter of the environment you grew up in or is it a fact based beliefs based position.

I look forward to hearing more from you in the future, besides I am pretty sure Laurie and Hiram would appreciate more support from the Left... Jerry and I can be a bit Right minded...

Never have been able to figure that out. A lively discussion among people of differing views is so beneficial to a blog.

I know G2A would be incredibly boring without the thoughts shared by you loyal commenters !!! I appreciate them everyday !!! No matter how different they are from my perception of reality.

Interesting. Your comments remind me of the old movie line, "I reject your reality, and substitute my own."

J,
You think they would have kept me around as the whipping boy if nothing else... (ie their "Conservative Troll") If I am so wrong it should have been easy to dismantle my reality. Maybe their reality is just a little too fragile... And they were concerned I would break it...

Imagine if I blocked you because I felt that Laurie and Hiram were incapable of considering your Conservative views and forming their own individual views... I personally can not think of any way to be more condescending to one's readers... It would be like me saying I am their protector, and that they can not defend or decide for themselves. (ie I am stronger and smarter than them.)

Now we know that is not the case, so though I appreciate you all, you will need to protect yourselves from the crazy left and right concepts that are posted at G2A. I have total faith in you and your capability to filter and analyze, unlike one other blog I know of...

Another of the top 10 would be:

Dan and Big E simply couldn't take the consequence of their promise to not dialogue with me... I was like an itch that they just couldn't scratch and it drove them over the edge.

Now they can relax and return throwing stones and brain washing with no questions or confusing data...

I think it is because your needling ways can be so annoying. I have been thinking of kicking myself off from your site, but there is something sort of fascinating about seeing how much ideology can blind one to reality.

It's too bad for you though, as you did get more in depth debate than what Hiram and I offer up. I hope Sean sticks around to debate you, I especially like his concise style.

I hope he does also. I think he is the Sean from this blog. Brick City I clicked on his name before I was censored.

I will not miss Dog's very verbose insulting style. I am still trying to wrap my head the idea that Dog is a woman. I totally misread that.

Yes I can be needling, especially if someone's logic or their analysis seems flawed. That happened often at MPP so I could definitely see that as a factor. At least I didn't call them stupid, conservative troll, threaten them, etc, they were sometimes as professionally challenged as MNPUBLIUS was... (ah the good old days)

By ideology, do mean my belief that people are not entitled to free food, housing, healthcare, college education, citizenship, etc at the expense of other citizens just because they are standing on American soil?

Tell me more about that blind spot. I am very curious now.

Hear! Hear! Oh, you mean John or I? :-O

I just cannot wrap my meager mind around the liberal notion of a reality in which government can always spend more than it takes in; in which we can give health CARE to more people for less money; in which we can pay people to not work by taking from those that do and break even; and where we can promise to pay out more in Social Security and Medicare benefits than can POSSIBLY be raised through taxes. In liberal world, you can raise taxes and no one will change their behavior to avoid those taxes. People will continue to buy cigarettes in the same number and locally. Companies will never relocate their operations elsewhere. Millionaires will never consider living somewhere else. Medical device makers will just pony up and pay the tax out of some mystical, magical stash that doesn't appear on their balance sheet, rather than raising prices or cutting employees or going out of business altogether. If we just say nice things about other nations and their despotic regimes, they will love us. We can negotiate peace with people whose one non-negotiable demand is that we all die. Republicans caused the shutdown by agreeing to fund the government. Obama is really negotiating when he says he will not negotiate with Republicans.

Are you seeing my problem? Please explain.

Yep, Brick City Blog was my site, but I have mostly retired from blogging now.

Well as I said, you are always welcome here as a commenter or guest poster !!!

My goal is to give folks a safe polite place to discuss pretty much anything that they should not discuss in polite friendly conversation. (ie politics, religion, social policy, education, money, etc) I am more intersted in helping folks hash out their beliefs rather than converting them.

Here is some background on my perception of reality.

I think this "ideology / blind spot" concept will become a stand alone post sometime soon. It is very interesting...

We are back to how does one define "FAIR"...
