By defaulting on US debts just to make Biden look Bad?
Of course, the hypocrite GOPers never hesitated to raise the debt ceiling while Trump was President and way over spending revenues.
Now I personally would demand that the government raise taxes and cut spending to balance the budget. Unfortunately I seem to be in a very small minority of fiscally responsible adults. Most seem fine with living well by heaping debt on their kids.
That is a selfishness I will never understand...

That's stupid, that's the best word I can come up with. The US EASILY takes in enough tax revenue every month to pay interest on the debt and a lot more. NO WAY do we default. All that hesitating to raise the debt ceiling does is to, a) stop Congress from adding still more to the debt with crazy spending, which b) raises inflation, adding to the interest payments needed, and c) forcing Congress to make some choices about spending priorities that they have failed to make for years, INCLUDING reforming entitlements like SS and not creating a raft of new ones.
I don't remember you supporting delaying the debt ceiling increase while Trump was cutting taxes, increasing spending and increasing the yearly deficits?
And the GOP certainly did NOTHING to reign in spending...
They are just a bunch of hypocrites.
At best, Republicans believe they have no role in ensuring the economy prospers when they are in the minority. That's the message McConnell says in virtually so many words when he says that since the Democrats won, governing is their responsiblity.
