The Republican position is that government shouldn't do anything that could possibly benefit illegal aliens. In practical terms, they need the money saved from Medicaid to pay for their tax cuts. This is strange to me, because Republicans represent a lot of poor people who really need those Medicaid benefits, and they don't benefit from the tax cuts, that are paid for by Medicaid cuts.--Hiram
It is puzzling why many low income folks vote the way they do.
