The numbers look good for the "haves", stock and house values are up. The "have nots" are hurting for certain, costs climbing. And our kids are screwed, national debt growing.

There are a lot more have nots who are complaining about the high cost of living (and many other things.) The economy is working better for older people with stocks and houses than for younger people.

There are a LOT of really low net worth folks out there whether they have a house or not. :-O
It does not help that young people love to spend money on vacations, etc.
