The location of the forum is the conference room at the Rockford Road library by Crystal City Hall (42ND and Douglas Drive) from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. The format is for the citizen to complete a one page form with at least one item/area that they believe ISD #281 is doing well and at least one that needs improvement or change. People will be asked to share their items with the group. The the form will be collected and summarized for the group. A second meeting will be held in June to prioritize the items/areas for improvement/change and the group plans on presenting the outcomes to the new superintendent and school board before the start of school this coming fall."

I think starting some dialogue with the new superintendent is a great idea, and hope there are many forums for that.

The proactive group is 281CARE.
Well if this turns out to be true, it should make the event even more interesting. The best way to understand someone elses beliefs and perspective is to listen to them.
I try to remember that nearly half the citizens of RAS voted NO on the referendum, and many truly see us YES advocates as people working hard to put elderly fixed income folks out on the street for the benefit of a bunch of relatively high paid Admins, Principals & Teachers... (ie $50K to $200K looks like a fortune when your household only makes <$30K)
There are few true heroes and villains in this story, just folks with different perspectives.
Though from my limited perspective it seemed Ron and Care281 did make some poor PR choices in the past. (ie mistruths, auto call, etc) I am still willing to talk with them and see what makes them tick.
Besides we can not rule out the 281Exposed folks, during the Levy campaign they were pretty adamant they wanted nothing to do with 281CARE or the related PR nightmare.
Finally, even if you don't want to give them the benefit of the doubt and still think they are trouble. Remember: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer".
