MinnPost Walz’s budget: OMG or DOA?
I am kind of guessing Dead On Arrival... It looks like he is proposing a lot of long term spending that will become problematic if a recession comes... Like it always does... Thoughts?

As with all Governor's budgets, it is DOA. The new budget forecast comes out next week, and I would expect a substantial chunk of the projected November surplus is going to disappear, which will require major revisions just in and of itself. Walz's budget to me looks like a document designed to be an opening position in a negotiation with Senate Republicans -- namely, there are some very specific things that look like they could be easily bargained away with the hope of getting other things.
I assume it also shows that he "tried" to keep all of his campaign promises...
