Is Herschel Walker a mini Trump?

I mean he seems either delusional or a self serving liar like Trump.

A friend of mine was telling me on FB how great a person Herschel Walker is. I of course questioned this because I thought conservatives disliked it when jocks and other celebrities become political.

And then to cheer on this guy who is apparently a bit nuts.  Oh well, it seems character does not matter to conservatives anymore, so I guess this should not surprise me

Let's just hope he has gotten his violent multiple personalities under control. :-O

He has issues, but I don't think he is any weirder than Donald Trump, and as a senator, he couldn't do any damage.

The claiming to have multiple voices in his head seemed a little weirder to me... :-)

I am sure Walker doesn't believe Obama was born in Kenya. He has that going for him.

I am not unamused by the fact that Repulicans were all having cows over the bare possibility that Rep. Thompson might not have resided in his district all 30 days before the election seem to have no problem at all running Walker for senator in Georgia, a state he hasn't lived in for decades.

Apparently at least Walker is up front about it.

There is something weird with that Thompson situation...

Republicans feel it's okay to cheat if they are open about it, which I think is fascinating.

By the way, I don't think Herschel's late blooming Georgianism is or should be any kind of legal issue. The trend is toward loosening residence rules for elections, and I think that's a good thing. People should have the right to vote for who they want.

I thought it was funny also, that Republicans made an issue of Thompson's residence. I think it is pretty common for Republicans to run candidates in safe DFL districts where those candidates don't reside. Since they only have to live in the district for 30 days, it's easy enough to establish residence, one reason why the DFL has never bothered to make an issue of it, but we do know what's going on.

Maybe those others are smart enough to get a new driver's license...

Somehow, getting a new driver license is a priority for those Republican candidates living isn a supporter's basement for 30 days.

Rep. Thompson is a problem certainly, but he isn't really my problem. He works for the residents of his district and it's up to them to decide what to do about him. Among other things, they control the endorsement process they they cast the votes. Republicans did try to make a political issue out of it, but I thought they looked silly doing it. They, after all, have no problem with Trump's sedition. And of course the Carnahan matter, which was a purely party matter, was just as bad or worse. Just as a bystander, I wonder what the Republicans were thinking. Legislators really aren't very connected to the party, at least on the Democratic side. But everhone in the Republican party leadership must have known about Carnahan's problems at least to some degree, yet she was even recently reelected.
