What are politicians thinking? I will never understand why the USA spends SO MUCH MONEY in Israel... Apparently we gave them $38 BILLION in 2020... Why did we do this again?

It's the cost of the Vikings Stadium.

At least the Vikings stadium created jobs here, and long term local jobs and benefits / enjoyment.
We were willing to spend a billion dollars on a building that would be used 8 afternoons a year. In the scheme of things, maybe a billion dollars isn't that much.

It is great then that it has been used far more than 8 afternoons per year.
I do hear they hold wedding receptions there. But the fact is, other events they hold at Vikings are simply filler, events that they could have held just as well at lots of other venues around town. If the Vikings didn't need the stadium for those eight afternoons, it never would have been built and on one would have missed it.

Agreed that it would not have been built since the Team and League paid for $500+ million of it.
It's what we paid to keep the Vikings. It was the price tag. Waa it worth it? Has there been a Super Bowl? Aside from the one we purchased?

I am not sure what the pay back is to the Twin cities getting so much national coverage?
It would be strange if we did not have the Vikings and Twins in town.
The Vikings don't get much national coverage. Most often they are the early game with the worst broadcast team.

I am not a big fan of sports teams or spending on stadiums, however I do recognize that successful vibrant cities have them and the arts...
Unfortunately to have these costs money.
