The Cover Up Continues

I figure Trump has to guilty since he is putting up such a fight...

The big question is what crimes has he committed?

  • Actually breaking the law?
  • Lying about his "successful life"

For a narcissist like him I am not sure what would be worse?
Jail or People Knowing that it is is his Father's Money?

I wonder if it would matter to his True Believers if they learned that Trump was actually a "Trust Fund Baby"?  Probably not...

Donald has played the role of clown in his public career. "The Apprentice" was an ironic commentary on capitalism. People who have been aware of him have never taken Donald seriously in the past, and they don't take Donald seriously now.

Remember Amazon? For a lot of reasons, Amazon is one of my favorite things. Last year, Trump took on Amazon. He threatened them with an increase in postal rates. The stock lost about 30 percent of it's value. So what happened? Nothing. The threats weren't made good. The president's attention moved elsewhere. And Amazon's stock price is now back to close to it's all time high. Amazon took the measure of the president of the United States and they correctly decided that the suit was empty. Does anyone doubt that our real adversaries have drawn the same conclusion?

If he can act unilaterally, he can inflict some pain.

However he seems to be really bad at getting deals done...

Isn't that ironic... :-)

He feels storming out of rooms is an effective negotiating strategy. Hasn't seemed to work so far.

Nancy's response seemed spot on

What I am sure was startling to Nancy et al., is that Donald focused on the cover up charge. To say that Donald covers up a lot of stuff, isn't a particularly controversial or partisan thing to say. It's not the only conclusion one can draw from his refusal to release his income taxes, but it is certainly a reasonable one. The same goes for his across the board refusal to obey congressional subpoenas. People who do that should not be terrorized by the possibility that someone will mention the words cover up. It goes with the territory.
