The key to successful non collusion is for people to know what to do without being told. The weakness in our legal system is that evidnce is required to be convicted of a crime. If you can commit a crime without leaving evidence, there can be no liability. This holds just as true when the legalistic approach is expanded beyond courts of law. If we insist on "evidence" to believe things, the universe of things we can believe in contracts to a dramatic extent.

Believing the untrue with evidence.

I am kind of amazed by people who claim with certainty that Biden stole the election. The fact is, Biden always led in all the polls, and he won by a substantial amount. The outcome of the election was completely unsurprising. I do understand that a certain Kael effect might be present. Pauline Kael once commented that she couldn't understand how Nixon became president because nobody she knew voted for him. Our country today is far more polarized than it was then, and we now see entire communities that support one candidate to the exclusion of the other. I don't think I saw no more than a couple of Trump signs in the neighborhoods I spent time in, while outside of the cities, only Trump signs were seen. But I know map-wise, this is a red, not a blue country. Thankfully, maps don't vote.

The Trump True Believers put their faith in another 2016 miracle.

Unfortunately for them, many of us finally figured out that Trump was worse than pretty much any other candidate.

Votes aren't that important to Republicans. Rudy Giuliani said in so many words that it's the Supreme Court that decides elections. Trump, a candidate who lost the popular election by three million votes in 2016, lost by 6 million votes. The framers didn't want to make it easy for 21st century Democratic politicians to win presidential elections so in their originalist wisdom they made the pathway to victory very narrow, and a bit on the winding side, but Democrats do find ways to negotiate it.

I am sure that was what they were thinking 200+ years ago... :-)
Or maybe the DEM Platform is just flawed.

They were a collection of Nostradamuses back then in Philadelphia. For myself, I have always been mystified by how insightful they were about 21st century health care policy.
