Yes. Divided government is great! Just imagine if we were keeping people in cages and camps, and some of those people were dying, but government couldn't decide whether to stop doing it or to keep doing it and so they didn't change a thing. Why not ask the dead how they feel about divided government?

Maybe we could all then agree to release them from the cages and give them a one way bus ticket home?

Why would you send asylum seekers back to the places that endanger their lives and from which they are seeking asylum?

But back on track...If government is doing the wrong thing, then gridlock and not fixing it is malfeasance.

The usual questions...

How are those communities going to get better if most of the good neighbors leave??? Are your good intentions dooming whole countries to lawlessness and ruin?

Are we willing to put downward pressure on the wages of those legal citizens and workers struggling in the USA by flooding the market with people from other countries???

What do you want to tell the poor in America? Sorry they were harder up than you are so we let them in to compete with you...

As for "If government is doing the wrong thing, then gridlock and not fixing it is malfeasance"

Please remember that I am pretty happy with our current government, and that both parties seem to over reach whenever they can...

I mean think of Dayton's big tax increases in ~2013.

Or the GOP's big Fed tax cuts in 2017...

Sometimes doing nothing is better...

“Please remember that I am pretty happy with our current government.”

I would expect nothing less from you, a member of the most privileged class of citizens: hetero, Caucasian, cis, male. You literally have nothing standing in your way. You have no political party erecting roadblocks to your success the way Republicans do for anyone not in your class.

Re:asylum seekers

It is our duty to take them in.
